How WorkSteps works
From approved methods to a job-specific traveller and retained evidence.
This guide describes the service scope. Access and the workflow supported for your site are confirmed during onboarding.
Keep your process knowledge
Your process owner will supply the approved instructions. WorkSteps is designed to organise those steps into a controlled procedure and select the applicable route from structured unit options.
Issue one traveller per unit
Each source row will identify one unit. Preview will show the selected sequence, expected evidence and parameter values. Issuance will freeze the source, procedure, text and images used for that traveller.
Guide the work in sequence
An operator will scan or select the unit, claim it and supply the required evidence for the current step. Reading ahead will be possible, but browsing will not count as performing work. Pause and handover will preserve accepted progress.
Finish with a meaningful record
Completion will require all mandatory evidence to be accepted and saved, with current permissions and no unresolved hold. The record will describe submitted evidence and attestations, rather than guarantee physical conformity.
